Fellow Pilots,

There have been a number of high profile incidents lately on the line, including engine failures. Our crews have demonstrated the utmost level of professionalism, as always, with the safety of our passengersin mind.

I just want to remind the professional flight crews who have been at the controls and who have faced theseunusual circumstances outside the normal operating regime, that the Air Canada Pilots Association and the3000 men and women we represent, know that your actions are characteristic of who we are and what we do.

Thank you for your continued dedication to the profession and for a job well done.

It is not a secret among the professional flight crews that we save the operation every time we show upfor work and that if it was not for the pilots' group, no flight would operate successfully.  Sometimes, the undeniable fact that we are much more than just a cost item shines through, as was evidenced just acouple of days ago.

In spite of what can be read on Aeronet, airplanes do not land themselves; it is pilots who landairplanes.

SAFETY WITH INTEGRITY
