Media Statement: Air Canada pilots union considers merger with larger union

“ALPA and ACPA pilot leaders met this week for an initial discussion about a potential merger and the benefits of being stronger together. Unions are at their best when they speak with one voice, and ALPA and ACPA are committed to exploring ways to advance the piloting profession and aviation safety in Canada and the United States. It’s still early in the process, and any decision on whether to formalize a partnership would ultimately rest with the pilots and their elected leaders at each union.”
